We Don't Just Remove — We Give Back

Before anything goes to landfill, we sort through what you no longer need and donate usable items to local charities. Your old stuff gets a second life, and Canberra's community benefits.

How We Handle Your Items

Every load we collect goes through the same careful sorting process — reuse always comes first.

♻️

Sort First

We go through everything we collect, setting aside items that are clean and in usable condition — furniture, clothing, homewares, books, tools and more.

🤝

Donate to Charities

Sorted items are dropped off at Vinnies, Goodwill, the Green Shed and other local op-shops and community organisations across Canberra.

Responsible Disposal

Only what truly cannot be reused or recycled goes to disposal — and we do that responsibly too, minimising landfill wherever possible.

Our Charity Partners

We work with trusted Canberra charities and community organisations to make sure your usable items reach people who need them.

Vinnies (St Vincent de Paul)

Furniture, clothing, kitchenware and household goods donated to Vinnies help support people experiencing hardship right here in Canberra.

Clothing & Homewares

Goodwill / Salvos

The Salvos and similar op-shops receive quality second-hand items we collect — raising funds for community support services across the ACT.

Furniture & Goods

The Green Shed

Canberra's iconic reuse centre receives tools, books, garden equipment, sporting goods and other reusables — keeping perfectly good items out of landfill.

What Gets Donated

We do our best to divert as much as possible, but charities have their own guidelines on what they can accept.

✅ We Can Typically Donate

  • Furniture in good condition — sofas, chairs, tables, shelving
  • Clothing and textiles that are clean and wearable
  • Kitchenware — crockery, cookware, small appliances
  • Books, DVDs, games and media
  • Tools and garden equipment in working order
  • Sporting and exercise equipment
  • Toys, games and children's items (safe and clean)
  • Décor, artwork and general homewares

❌ What Can't Be Donated

  • Broken, damaged or heavily soiled items
  • Mattresses (charities generally cannot accept these)
  • Hazardous materials — chemicals, paint, asbestos
  • Electrical items that don't work or are unsafe
  • Construction debris and renovation waste
  • Garden waste and organic material

Items that can't be donated are removed responsibly through recycling or approved disposal facilities — never just dumped.
